Hi friend! So I’ve never introduced myself on my blog before but today I am! If you’re new around here, welcome! I am so glad you’re here & hope that my words & resources inspire you to create the life you love. 

I’m Ally Lauren! I am a former 4th grade teacher in inner city Charlotte. While I was teaching I became a brand partner for young living essential oils & fell in love with nontoxic living & essential oils. I grew my oil biz paycheck to pass my teaching paycheck, so my husband & I resigned from our jobs, converted a RAM promaster, & now we travel the country with our precious golden retriever, cash! 

Now that you have the highlights, i want to share three surprising facts about myself! 

01. The meaning behind my name is unique…
My name ally comes from the dinosaur from the Land Before Time movie series - my older sister was obsessed with dinosaurs & those movies so my mom agreed to name me after a fictional dinosaur. Lauren comes from Ralph Lauren - who’s clothing line my mom is still obsessed with. 

02. I am terrified of deer. 

We all have irrational fears but this is not an irrational fear. I am terrified of deer - especially while driving. I am afraid a deer will run out & make me wreck the car. This has never happened to me or anyone close to me but I’ve heard the stories and steer clear of deer anytime I see them. 

03. I thrive with routines. 

I need a routine to live. If I don’t have a routine, I become a hot unproductive mess. I have a loose routine for just about everything in my life. My favorite routine is my morning routine. I wake up at 5:30 each morning, practice yoga & mediation, get ready for the day, drink coffee & read for an hour, eat breakfast, & then I get started with work. I find that having this structure in my life forces me to be present & allows me to be my most creative self!
